Puglia already shows a trend higher than in other regions in terms of sales, with an increase of 2.3% in the last ten years. As regards the prediction for 2020, in Puglia is expected the sale of 36,500 houses, an increase of 6.7%.
Puglia is also the first destination for foreigner buyers, compared to Tuscany and Lazio. According to Scenari Immobiliari, this region was chosen by 1,600 foreigner investors, equal to 22.6% compared to a total of 7,100 (about half of these trades concerned Salento). Overall in Italy, between 2010 and 2019, around 10,500 buyers from
abroad bought a house for tourist use in Puglia: someone to use it only for the holiday period, others for shorter or longer transfers, others as an investment. In total it is expected a total income of over three billion. It is also worth mentioning the performance of the region compared to the national average: from 2010 to 2019 the share of foreigners who bought a house in Puglia increased by 129.6% (compared to 73% recorded in the rest of Italy).
Those interested, therefore, should take advantage of the moment to buy a house in one of the most beautiful regions of Italy, which offers a mild climate, one of the richest ‘cooking’ in the country, a very warm welcome and property prices still quite low but which tend to rise.
