Trulli & caves tour is designed for all ages and will allow you to discover two real masterpieces, one of man and one of nature. The meeting will be directly at the villa, from where with your the guide you will leave for Alberobello.
Alberobello is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and is the only village whose historic center is made up of Trulli, conical dry stone buildings that give Alberobello an absolute uniqueness.
Alberobello, with its Trulli, is one of the 54 Italian sites included by UNESCO in the World Heritage List, it represents a unique place in the world and it is impossible not to be fascinated and struck by its scenographic impact. Walking in Alberobello’s narrow roads is like being immersed in a fairy tale, for this reason, is a place loved by everyone: adults and children.
The visit will end with an internal visit to a Trullo where you will taste typical products: jams and marmalades prepared with fresh locally produced fruit and served by 3 Rosoli, ancient liqueurs created in the Convents of the area. The Rosoli have a low alcohol content, and are prepared with the flowers and fruits of our countryside, using traditional methods.
After a free lunch we will leave for the Castellana Caves, a journey to the center of the earth with multicolored stones, immersed in magnificent caves. Castellana Caves began to form about 90 million years ago. It is a complex of underground caves of karstic origin that extends for a length of 3348 meters and reaches a maximum depth of 122 meters from the surface.
The guided tour covers a distance of 3 km at a 70 meters depth in a fantastic scenery made of stalactites, stalagmites, concretions of incredible shapes, fossils, canyons and caves with fantastic names. In hundreds of millions of years, nature has shaped the rock into fantastic forms in which children (and others) like to recognize something or someone.
The Grotta Bianca (White Cave), unique in the world, awaits the visitor at the end of the walk.
At the end of this exciting Trulli & caves tour you will enjoy an aperitif in Polignano a Mare, caressed by the sea breeze at sunset with an extraordinary view of the coast.
