Imperial Tour includes a visit to the fascinating Castel del Monte and to Trani, an enchanting seaside town.
The meeting with the guide will be directly in the villa from where you will leave for Castel del Monte. This imposing and mysterious castle, with an octagonal plan, is a UNESCO heritage site and was built by the great emperor Frederick II. The location is very impressive as it stands on a hill in the upper Murgia.
The imperial tour continues with the visit to Trani where you can admire the wonderful San Nicola Pellegrino Cathedral, beautiful example of Apulian Romanesque architecture, the Swabian Castle (outside only), and a majestic fort of Frederick II; after that you can walk through the narrow alleys of the Jewish quarter, with its ancient synagogues and small and characteristic shops. At the end of the tour there will be a tasting of Moscato, a typical sweet wine of Trani that goes perfectly with the traditional local pastry.
The imperial tour ends with the return to the villa.
