Bike Tour in Lecce is an opportunity to discover the “Florence of the South”, one of the most enchanting towns of Puglia.
The meeting will be directly in the villa. Here you will be taken to Lecce where the bikes will be delivered to you and you will leave for a private bike tour in the historic center, among splendid baroque churches, ancient buildings and small alleys, enclosed by three ancient entrances: Porta Rudiae, Porta San Biagio and Porta Napoli. You will also stop to visit the Santa Croce Cathedral and the wonderful Piazza Duomo; you will pass by the Charles V Castle, the Roman amphitheater and Piazza Sant’Oronzo, all popular places in the history of this town.
During the bike tour in Lecce there will also be a small moment of pleasure, when you stop to taste the pasticciotto leccese, a typical sweet from Salento made with shortcrust pastry and stuffed with custard and black cherry.
After that you will have some free time to visit particular places, or to do some shopping, or simply to rest before the guide takes you to a panoramic terrace for an aperitif with an enchanting view. It is a medieval tower built in 1419 and represents one of the most important and rare monuments of the late medieval period in the city, a perfect location to end the bike tour in Lecce and try the tasty delicacies of Salento cuisine.
